Tammy Kane

One half of the Christopher Kane label duo, Tammy is fast becoming one of the most stylish women in the industry. Clad in her brother’s latest designs, she has a style often replicated on the fashion pages. Indeed all three of the Christopher Kane catwalks have seen models styled in her image.

Adele Bethel

The lead singer of four-piece band Sons and Daughters, Bethel has become quite a pin-up in the last few months. Her signature look includes 1960s-inspired shift dresses and big hair. Bethel’s performances are often overtly physical but that doesn’t mean you won’t see her in the odd wedge or high heel.

Darius Danesh

From wannabe pop star to thespian, Glasgow-born Danesh recently took on the role of Rhett Butler in the West End production of Gone With the Wind and received a standing ovation on his first night. His personal style is influenced by his heroes, who include Frank Sinatra.

Jenni Falconer

Presenting breakfast television has its sartorial challenges, but this host of GMTV copes with aplomb. Known for her glamorous approach to red carpet dressing, Falconer – a former host of the Scottish Fashion Awards – has worn frocks from designers such as Graeme Black and Amanda Wakeley.

Craig Ferguson

The Scottish-American comedian has taken the US by storm. A veteran of the open neck, white shirt and dark suit combo, Ferguson favours a relaxed but sophisticated look when presenting the Late Late Show on CBS. He also knows how to pull on a dinner suit for those big, black tie occasions.

Laura Fraser

Described as a no-nonsense Scot, Fraser is one of the nation’s most talented actresses, with roles in films such as Vanilla Sky and A Knight’s Tale. Most recently she starred in the BBC series The Passion. Off camera Fraser’s image is polished but distinctly relaxed, even on the red carpet.

Alex Kapranos

It’s difficult to ignore the image-conscious lead singer of Franz Ferdinand. Kapranos is renowned for his quirky personal style, jaunty haircut and penchant for cropped leather bomber jackets. His continued success in the music world makes him a modern-day fashion icon.

Jim Lambie

Known for his flamboyant designs – he painted an old wedding car in bright Paisley patterns for one art gallery – Jim Lambie is one of the most popular characters on the Scottish art scene. His personal style reflects his artistic roots, though his dress sense is more understated than his creations.

Hannah McGill

Artistic director of the Edinburgh Film Festival and a former film critic of The Herald, McGill is a prominent figure on the Scottish cultural scene. One of the the most distinctive dressers on our list, her personal style seldom wavers, favouring sharp haircuts, bold red lipstick and exquisitely tailored clothes.

KT Tunstall

Between touring the world and jumping about on stage with her guitar, Tunstall’s skinny jeans, logo T-shirts and boots make her instantly recognisable as a gigging musician. Using her hit Suddenly I See in the opening scene to The Devil Wears Prada cemented her fashion status.
